HTML is an acronym for HyperText Markup Language. It is the predominant markup language used in the productions of web pages. HTML uses a series of tags, surrounded by angle brackets, to describe the structure of a document. It can also include embedded scripting language code such as PHP and JavaScript to affect the behavior of web browsers.
